Research

The Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering is the home to several renowned cutting edge research laboratories and facilities. Our Department has three Tier 1 Canada Research Chairs. Our academic faculty conduct advanced research in fundamental and emerging areas of Mechanical Engineering such as Nanotechnology, Materials Engineering and Processing, Micro-Electro-Mechancial-Systems (MEMS), Biomedical Engineering, Fire Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Engineering, Mechatronics and many more.
